Alter Enersun inaugurates the new Huelva 2020 photovoltaic plant

On Monday 24 February, Alter Enersun inaugurated the Huelva 2020 photovoltaic plant, located in the town of Gibraleón (Huelva), which was built by GES, both companies belonging to CL Grupo Industrial.

The plant has an installed capacity of 50 MWp thanks to its 133,056 solar panels, which entered into operation in December 2019. It is estimated that it will reduce CO2 emissions by 100,000 tonnes per year.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Gibraleón, Lourdes Martín; the Regional Government Delegate of Andalusia in Huelva, Bella Verano; the Chair of the Port of Huelva, Pilar Miranda; the Employment Delegate of the Territorial Delegation for Employment, Training and Enterprise, Antonio Agustín Vázquez; as well as civil servants from the administration who took part in the project. Representing CL Grupo Industrial were Ricardo Leal, Chairman of the Group; José Luis Morlanes, CEO of the Chemicals and Renewable Energy Division; and Raúl García, Managing Director of Alter Enersun.
