We sponsor the new Al-Qázeres Extremadura

Alter Enersun has become the main sponsor of CB Al-Qázeres Extremadura, which will now be known as Alter Enersun Al-Qázeres Extremadura for the upcoming 2020–2021 season, which will begin in September. Raúl García, General Manager of Alter Enersun, announced the collaboration agreement on 28 August alongside the Mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya, and the representative of Alter Enersun Al-Qázeres Extremadura, Alfonso Sánchez, where he stated that the aim is to “support the team so that it can continue and achieve its objectives, something that makes us enormously proud”.

The presentation to the media took place in the incomparable setting of the Foro de los Balbos, at the foot of Cáceres Town Hall. For his part, Sánchez expressed his gratitude for both the institutional support and that of Alter Enersun, highlighting that “without public support it would be impossible, but without private support, from some people with a wholly altruistic interest, it would be unviable”.

In this regard, García pointed out the importance that this “new project” represents for Alter, which links the company with the city of Cáceres, and he highlighted that another major project will soon be added to it: the construction of the Cáceres 2020, Cáceres 2021 and Cáceres 2023 photovoltaic plants, located within the municipality of the city and scheduled to begin before the end of the year.

Once the three plants are operational, as planned for 2021, they will have a combined installed capacity of 131 MW, which will generate enough energy to supply more than 70,000 homes.
