Alter Enersun completes construction of the photovoltaic plants in Cáceres

The three new photovoltaic installations of Alter Enersun, a company belonging to CL Grupo Industrial, were visited by the Mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya Julián, and the Mayor of Casar de Cáceres, Rafael Pacheco Rubio.

Located in the city of Cáceres, the new plants Cáceres 2020, Cáceres 2021 and Cáceres 2023 will prevent the emission of more than 238,328 tonnes of CO2 and will supply more than 72,000 households.

The three plants will reach an estimated annual production of 252,467 MWh, an output that will make it possible to supply more than 72,000 households. In terms of the capacity of each installation, Cáceres 2020 has a capacity of 50.83 MWp, Cáceres 2021 reaches 53.01 MWp and Cáceres 2023 has a capacity of 32.83 MWp. In total, the installed capacity of these three new plants is 136.67 MWp.

Raúl García Méndez, Managing Director of Alter Enersun, points out that “we are now finalising the last steps of the project, which we expect to be completed on 22 December. From that moment, we will begin the commissioning process.” In addition, Raúl García indicated that “thanks to these plants, located in Cáceres, we will be making our contribution to the energy transition that we must accelerate so urgently.”

For his part, the Mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya Julián, expressed his satisfaction with the work carried out, stating that “these projects move forward thanks to private initiative and public support”. At the same time, the Mayor highlighted “the commitment of Alter Enersun, which, in addition to providing very important support to the women’s basketball team Al-Qázeres Extremadura, also brings wealth, not only through the direct creation of jobs, but also through benefits for companies in Cáceres and the surrounding area, generating revenue for public finances”.
